Description
The Coniston is an 80cm diameter crystal chandelier built around a French gold metal frame that supports cascading tiers of clear faceted crystal strands. Sixteen E14 bulb positions (bulbs sold separately) sit within the sphere, distributing light outward through the crystal layers. The frame and suspension chain allow the drop to be adjusted between 1020mm and 2430mm on installation, making it suitable for ceiling heights from 2.7m to 4.8m.
Designed for dining rooms, double-height entrance halls, and large living spaces with ceiling heights of 3m or above, the Coniston provides both ambient and decorative light. The French gold finish carries a warmer, slightly antiqued tone compared to polished brass or bright gold, which softens the overall visual impact and pairs well with traditional, transitional, and classical interiors. The 800mm diameter makes this a statement piece for rooms of 20-30m² floor area or larger.
Each of the sixteen bulb positions takes a small Edison screw (E14) candle bulb up to 20W. Pairing the chandelier with dimmable LED bulbs allows control over light intensity for dining or entertaining. The crystal strands are arranged in concentric tiers that form a near-spherical profile when viewed from below, with each faceted strand catching and refracting light from the internal bulbs. At 46kg, the chandelier requires professional installation with appropriate ceiling fixings rated for the load and a reinforced ceiling rose.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take and are they included?
The Coniston takes sixteen E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs up to 20W each. Bulbs are not included. Most users choose warm-white LED candle bulbs in the 4-6W range at 2700K for a traditional warm glow.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, if paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. The chandelier itself is dimmable-ready but dimming capability depends on the bulbs you fit.
What ceiling height is needed?
The minimum drop of 1020mm plus the 800mm sphere diameter means you need a ceiling height of at least 2.7m for the chandelier to clear head height when walking underneath. Ceiling heights of 3-4.5m are ideal, allowing the drop to be adjusted so the chandelier sits prominently without overwhelming the space.
How is the chandelier cleaned?
Switch off and allow bulbs to cool completely. Wipe the metal frame with a dry microfibre cloth. For the crystal strands, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water or a crystal cleaner designed for chandeliers. Do not use abrasive cleaners or spray the bulb sockets directly.
