Description

The Coniston is an 80cm diameter crystal chandelier built around an antique brass frame carrying 16 individual E14 bulb positions. Clear faceted crystal droplets cascade from the brass structure in concentric layers, creating a spherical profile that diffuses light in all directions when lit. The adjustable chain allows the drop to be set between 1020mm and 2430mm on installation, making the chandelier suitable for ceiling heights from 2.7m to 4.5m.

Designed for large dining rooms, double-height entrance halls and drawing rooms, the Coniston requires a ceiling rose capable of supporting 46kg and a ceiling joist or reinforced fixing point. The 800mm diameter sits proportionally above dining tables 1800-2400mm long or in open-plan reception spaces where a central decorative anchor is needed. The antique brass finish provides a warmer, less reflective metallic tone than polished brass, pairing well with both traditional interiors and contemporary rooms with warm-toned materials.

Each of the 16 light positions takes a small E14 candle bulb up to 20W (sold separately). Using 16 warm-white LED candle bulbs at 4-6W each gives approximately 900-1400 lumens total output, sufficient for ambient lighting in rooms up to 25m². The crystals are precision-cut to refract light across walls and ceilings, producing characteristic chandelier sparkle when bulbs are dimmed in the evening. The chandelier is dimmable provided compatible dimmable LED bulbs are fitted.

The antique brass frame shows intentional patina and darker tonal variation across its surface, giving the metal an aged appearance that contrasts with the clear crystal. This finish works particularly well in period properties, country house settings and rooms with antique or reclaimed furniture.
