Description

This white angel plaque marks a confirmation day with a gentle, upright figure and a few words worth keeping. The angel has a rounded head and a softly arched body, with two scalloped wings rising behind it, all in a clean matt white. A small silver dove sits near the top of the body, and beneath it the word CONFIRMATION runs across in silver capitals. Below that comes a short verse in silver lettering. It opens with "Today is your Confirmation", speaks of the Holy Spirit bringing light and guidance, and closes on your special name. The front measures 13.6cm by 12cm and the plaque is 3.3cm deep, a compact size for a shelf or bedside table.

We think it makes a thoughtful confirmation gift. You can give it on the day itself or at the gathering afterwards, and it stays on the shelf long after the cards have come down. Its depth gives it a flat base to stand on, so it needs no wall, no nail and no hook. It simply sits upright on a bedroom shelf, a bedside table, a windowsill or a dressing table. In a bedroom it becomes a quiet reminder of the day each morning, and in a living room it sits comfortably beside family photographs.

The finish is matt, so the white reads soft rather than glossy, and the silver dove and lettering stand out against it. The wings sit behind the body, giving the angel a little depth when you look at it from the side. To keep it looking fresh, dust it now and then with a soft dry cloth, and keep it away from water so the silver lettering stays crisp. For giving, add a handwritten card of your own, or set it alongside other keepsakes from the day, where its verse can be read again whenever the confirmation comes to mind.

Frequently Asked

How big is the angel plaque?

Its front measures 13.6cm by 12cm and it is 3.3cm deep, a compact size that sits neatly on a shelf, windowsill or bedside table.

Does the plaque stand up on its own?

Yes, it stands upright on its flat base, so it needs no wall fixing. Simply set it on a shelf, table or windowsill wherever you would like it.

What does the verse on the plaque say?

Under the word CONFIRMATION, the silver verse begins "Today is your Confirmation". It speaks of the Holy Spirit bringing light and guidance, and closes on your special name.

What colour is the angel plaque?

The angel is white with a soft matt finish. The dove, the word CONFIRMATION and the verse are all picked out in silver lettering against the white.

How should I look after it?

Dust it gently with a soft dry cloth and keep it away from water, so the matt white and the silver lettering both stay fresh for years.

Is it a good confirmation gift?

We think so. The verse speaks directly to the confirmation day, and the angel makes a lasting keepsake to keep on a shelf long after the celebrations.
