The Collier is a 558mm semi-flush ceiling light with four E14 bulb fittings arranged around an opal glass bowl diffuser, suspended from the ceiling rose by four angled metal arms in a black oxide finish. The arms attach to a circular ceiling plate and converge at a central column that drops through the centre of the glass bowl, creating a balanced geometric structure with a 292mm drop from ceiling to base.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.2m and 2.7m where a full pendant would hang too low but a flush-mount lacks presence, the Collier provides ambient general lighting with enough architectural form to serve as a ceiling feature. It suits dining rooms, sitting rooms, larger hallways and home offices where the 558mm diameter can be comfortably accommodated without overwhelming the space. The four E14 bulbs light the underside of the opal glass diffuser, which spreads the light evenly downwards and outwards into the room.

The black oxide finish is a dark gunmetal tone with a matt surface that sits between pure black and aged bronze, showing slight tonal variation depending on light angle. The four support arms terminate in spherical knobs where they meet the glass bowl, and the exposed joints and metalwork give the fitting an industrial-adjacent character without leaning into utilitarian styling. The opal glass softens the light output and conceals the bulbs when viewed from below, while the metal frame provides the structural definition.

The fixture includes 3048mm of chain, though as a semi-flush fitting it mounts close to the ceiling with minimal or no chain visible in most installations. What ceiling height does it need?

The 292mm drop from ceiling to base suits rooms with ceiling heights between 2.2m and 2.7m. In lower rooms the fitting may feel too close to head height; in much higher rooms a full pendant on chain would provide better visual balance.

Is the glass diffuser removable for bulb changes?

Yes. The opal glass bowl is held in place by the central column and can be lowered to access the four E14 sockets for bulb changes or cleaning.

What diameter ceiling rose does it require?

The circular ceiling plate is 558mm in diameter. It mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose or junction box, but the visible metal plate will cover a larger area than a typical pendant canopy — ensure the ceiling finish beneath is sound or plan to redecorate around the installation area.
