Description

The Colette is a 47cm semi-flush ceiling light with a polished chrome frame and opal silicone diffusers, housing an integrated 37W LED array that delivers warm 3000K light. The fitting sits 16cm below the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or lower where a pendant would hang too far into the space. A radio-frequency remote control allows the LED to be dimmed from full brightness down to a low ambient glow without needing to install a wall dimmer.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, home offices and living rooms with low ceilings, the Colette provides general illumination across a floor area of approximately 12-15m². The chrome finish reflects ceiling and wall light, adding brightness to the space, while the opal silicone diffusers soften the LED output to reduce glare. The remote control operates on a 0-10V dimming protocol, so the fitting can also be controlled via a compatible wall dimmer if preferred.

The Colette's aluminium construction keeps the weight to 1.58kg, which can be supported by most UK ceiling roses without reinforcement. The chrome plating is applied over the aluminium frame and polished to a mirror finish, giving sharper reflections than brushed or satin chrome. The IP20 rating confirms the fitting is designed for dry indoor use only and should not be installed in bathrooms or wet rooms.

Is the remote control included?

Yes. The Colette includes a radio-frequency remote control that allows you to dim the LED from full brightness to low ambient light. The remote operates on a 0-10V protocol and does not require line-of-sight to the fitting.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is designed for dry indoor spaces only. Bathrooms and wet rooms require IP44 or higher. The Colette is suitable for hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and home offices.

What ceiling height does it need?

The 16cm drop from the ceiling makes the Colette suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or lower. In rooms with higher ceilings, a pendant or chandelier typically provides better light distribution.

Can it be controlled by a wall dimmer instead of the remote?

Yes. The integrated LED uses a 0-10V dimming protocol, so the fitting can be controlled by a compatible wall dimmer. Check with the dimmer manufacturer that their product supports 0-10V LED loads before installation.
