Description
The COB LED Strip is a continuous, dot-free line of diodes on a flexible reel, giving an even run of light with no visible spotting along its length. It draws 8W per metre and puts out 690 lumens per metre in a fixed 3000K warm white, with a high CRI of Ra90 for true-looking colours. Known in the US as led tape light, it runs on a 24V DC supply rather than direct mains. The reel measures 5 metres and cuts to length at the marked points every 2cm, so it can be trimmed to fit a run exactly.
This strip suits dry indoor accent and task work: under kitchen cabinets, along shelving, inside coving and cabinetry, and behind a headboard or media unit. As a linear source its light is best judged by the run it lines rather than a floor area, so plan it by the length you want to graze or wash. The continuous COB format throws a soft, even line with no dotting, which makes it well suited to coved ceilings and visible edges where spaced diodes would show. At IP00 it is for dry interiors only, so keep it clear of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor location.
Built on a flexible reel, the strip is cut at the 2cm marks and joined or extended at those points. Being a 24V DC strip it is not mains-direct and needs a matching 24V LED driver, sized to the total wattage of the run and sold separately. The IP00 rating confirms its dry-indoor scope. Rated for 30,000 hours, it weighs 36g and ships as a 5 metre reel. Drivers and matching profiles are available across our wider strip range.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a driver?
Yes. It is a 24V DC strip, not mains-direct, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver. Size the driver to the total wattage of your run at 8W per metre, and note the driver is sold separately.
Can the strip be cut to length?
Yes. It cuts at the marked points every 2cm, so you can trim it to fit a run exactly. Cut only at those marks, and rejoin or extend at the same points.
Can I use it outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP00, which is for dry indoor use only. Keep it out of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor or sheltered-outdoor location.
What colour and brightness does it give?
It is a fixed 3000K warm white at 690 lumens per metre, with a high CRI of Ra90 for accurate colour. The dot-free COB format gives a soft, even line of light with no visible spotting.
