Description
This COB LED strip is a continuous, dot-free line of diodes on a flexible reel, giving an even ribbon of light with none of the visible spotting you get from spaced SMD chips. Often sold in the US as LED tape light or under cabinet led strip, it draws 8W per metre and puts out 710 lumens per metre in a crisp 6500K daylight tone, with a high CRI of Ra 90 for accurate colour. The reel measures 5 metres and cuts to length every 2cm at the marked points, so a run can be sized to the exact span you need.
Use it for cove and ceiling perimeters, under-cabinet task lighting, shelf and display edges, and outline detailing where a clean line of light matters. The IP65 rating means it is coated and weatherproof, so it also works in damp and sheltered outdoor spots such as soffits, eaves and covered patios. The daylight 6500K output suits workspaces, kitchens and garages rather than soft ambient settings, and the strip can be joined and routed around corners to follow the shape of the run.
The strip runs on 24V DC and needs a matching 24V LED driver, which is sold separately and must be sized to the total wattage of the run. It does not connect straight to a mains socket. The flexible backing carries an adhesive face for mounting to a clean, dry surface, and the IP65 coating protects the diodes against dust and water splashes. Rated for around 30,000 hours, it is a long-life option for both indoor and protected outdoor installations.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver, which is sold separately. Size the driver to the total wattage of your run, allowing 8W for every metre of strip used.
Can it be cut to length?
Yes. The strip can be cut every 2cm at the marked cut points along the reel. Only cut at these marked positions so each remaining section stays complete and powered.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, within reason. The IP65 rating makes it weatherproof and coated against dust and water splashes, so it suits damp and sheltered outdoor spots such as soffits, eaves and covered patios. It is not intended for full submersion.
How do I keep it clean?
Wipe the strip with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth once the power is off. The IP65 coating tolerates light cleaning, but avoid soaking it or using harsh solvents that could lift the coating or the adhesive backing.
