Description
This COB LED strip lights up as a continuous, dot-free line of diodes on a flexible reel, giving an even run with none of the spotting you get from spaced SMD strips. It draws 8W per metre and delivers 740 lumens per metre in a crisp 6500K daylight tone, with a high Ra 90 colour rendering that keeps surfaces and colours looking true. The reel measures 5 metres and runs on 24V DC. What US buyers call COB LED tape light is the same product, supplied on a flexible backing ready to mount.
The strip suits dry indoor settings such as under-cabinet runs in a kitchen, cove and ceiling perimeter detailing, shelving, display niches and bookcase edges. Its low profile tucks neatly into channels and recesses, and the dot-free line gives a clean, glare-controlled glow rather than visible hotspots. Coverage is best judged by run length rather than floor area, since this is accent and task-edge lighting rather than ambient room lighting. At 740 lumens per metre the output is bright enough for worktop task light yet soft enough for decorative outlining.
The strip cuts to length only at the marked points, set every 2cm, so a run can be tailored to the space. It carries an IP00 rating, which means it is for dry indoor use only and should be kept clear of bathrooms, damp areas and outdoor locations. Being a 24V DC strip, it is not mains-direct and needs a matching 24V LED driver, which is sold separately and must be sized to the total wattage of the run. Rated for 30,000 hours, the 5 metre reel weighs just 36g. Other lengths and forms are available across the range.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, so it is not mains-direct and needs a matching 24V LED driver, sold separately. Size the driver to the total wattage of your run, allowing 8W for every metre used.
Can it be cut to length?
Yes. The strip cuts only at the marked points, which fall every 2cm along the reel. Cut at a marked line so the circuit stays intact, then connect the cut end back to the driver.
Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This strip is rated IP00, which is for dry indoor use only. Keep it out of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor or sheltered-outdoor location, as it has no moisture protection.
How do I clean it?
Switch off and let it cool, then wipe the surface gently with a dry or barely damp soft cloth. Avoid solvents and do not soak the strip, since it has no ingress protection and water must be kept away from the diodes and connections.
