Description
This COB LED strip lights run as a single, dot-free line of light along a slim flexible reel, with no visible diodes or shadowing across the surface. It draws 7.5W per metre and gives around 690 lumens per metre in a crisp 6500K daylight tone, with a high CRI of Ra90 for true-looking colours. Sold in the US market as LED tape light, the strip is cut to length at the marked points every 5cm, so a 20m reel can be trimmed to fit each run exactly.
Indoor settings suit it best, since the IP00 rating means it is for dry interior use only. It works well as a continuous line under kitchen cabinets, along cove and ceiling recesses, inside shelving and display units, or as concealed accent light behind a headboard or counter. Rather than lighting a whole room evenly, it delivers a bright, even grazing line, so plan it as linear accent and task light where the diodes themselves stay hidden and only the wash of daylight shows.
The strip runs on 24V DC and is not mains-direct, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver sized to the total load, supplied separately. It is rated for around 30,000 hours and the flexible backing follows gentle curves and corners. Keep it clear of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor location, as the IP00 build offers no moisture protection. The reel cuts only at the marked 5cm intervals, and several lengths can be joined from one driver where capacity allows.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a separate driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, so it cannot connect straight to a mains socket. You need a 24V LED driver rated for the total wattage of the length you install, which is supplied separately.
Where can the strip be cut?
The strip cuts to length only at the marked points, spaced every 5cm along the reel. Cutting at these intervals keeps each section working correctly, so you can trim the 20m reel to fit your run.
Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This is an IP00 strip with no moisture protection, so it is for dry indoor use only. Keep it out of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor location.
What does the COB design look like when lit?
COB places the diodes in a continuous line, so you see one smooth, dot-free band of light rather than individual spots. With its 6500K daylight tone and CRI Ra90, it gives an even, true-colour wash ideal for under-cabinet and cove runs.
