Description
The COB LED Strip is a continuous, dot-free line of diodes on a flexible 5m reel, giving an even run of light with none of the spotting you see on older spaced-diode tape. It draws 12W per metre and puts out 1020 lumens per metre in a warm white 3000K tone, with a high CRI of Ra90 so colours and surfaces read accurately under it. American buyers will know this format as warm white COB led tape light; the single solid emitter line is what makes it sit so cleanly along a profile.
Because the light is smooth and shadow-free along its length, this strip suits under-cabinet runs in a kitchen, cove and pelmet detailing, shelving, stair-string accents and the underside of furniture. The 1020 lumens per metre give a crisp working glow close to a worktop while staying soft enough for indirect cove lighting, so coverage is best judged by the length you run rather than a room area. It is a dry indoor strip only, so keep it to interior locations and clear of bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor positions.
The strip runs on 12V DC, so it is not a mains-direct fitting and needs a matching 12V LED driver, which is supplied separately and should be sized to the total wattage of the run you install. It cuts to length only at the marked cut points along the reel, and the flexible backing lets it follow shallow curves and corners. Rated at IP00 with a 30,000 hour lifespan, it is built for clean, dry interior use. Our range also includes drivers and profiles to complete the install.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 12V DC, so it cannot be wired straight to the mains and needs a 12V LED driver, which is sold separately. Size the driver to the total wattage of your run, allowing 12W for every metre of strip used.
Can the strip be cut to length?
Yes, it cuts to length at the marked cut points along the 5m reel, so you only trim at those positions. This lets you tailor each run to a shelf, cabinet or cove without leftover light spilling past the edge.
Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This is an IP00 strip rated for dry indoor use only, so it should be kept out of bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor locations. Choose an IP65 coated strip if you need a damp or sheltered position.
How do I keep the strip looking its best?
Wipe the surface gently with a dry or barely damp lint-free cloth with the power off, avoiding solvents that could mark the coating. Because it is a dot-free COB line, dust shows less than on spaced-diode tape, so an occasional light clean is enough.
