COB LED Strip 10W/m IP65 24V Warm White - 5m Reel

This COB LED strip puts out a continuous, dot-free line of light along a flexible 5 metre reel, the form often searched as an LED tape or light strip. Each metre draws 10W and gives 860 lumens of warm white at 3000K, so a full reel carries an even, bright glow with no visible diodes or spotting. With a CRI of Ra90 the light stays true to the colours of whatever it grazes, which matters on surfaces and finishes where accuracy counts. It runs on 24V DC rather than straight from the mains, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver, supplied separately and sized to the run length you fit.

Because it carries an IP65 rating, this strip is coated for damp and sheltered outdoor work as well as dry interiors, which opens up cove runs, under-cabinet lines, eaves, pergola edges and outline lighting around patios and porches. The warm 3000K tone suits relaxed and decorative settings rather than bright task areas, so think accent and atmosphere along a length rather than general room lighting. Coverage follows the line you lay rather than a floor area, so plan it by the metre: a single 5 metre reel lights one continuous run, and the per-metre output keeps brightness consistent end to end so longer and shorter sections read the same.

The strip cuts to length at the marked points every 5cm, letting you trim it to fit a shelf, step or recess without waste, and it bends to follow curves and corners along its flexible backing. The IP65 coating seals it against splashes and weather for sheltered exterior positions, and the diodes are rated for around 30,000 hours of use. Remember it is a 24V DC strip, so it must be paired with a 24V driver, never wired direct to a wall socket. Does this LED strip need a driver?

Yes. It is a 24V DC strip, so it must run from a matching 24V LED driver rather than direct from the mains. The driver is sold separately and should be sized to the total wattage of the run, at 10W per metre.

Can the strip be cut to length?

Yes. It can be cut at the marked cut points every 5cm, so you can trim it to fit a shelf, recess or step exactly. Only cut at the marked intervals, and keep the offcut for a separate short run if needed.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. The IP65 rating means it is coated against splashes and weather, so it works in damp and sheltered outdoor spots such as eaves, pergolas and covered patios, as well as dry interiors. For fully submerged or heavily exposed positions a higher rating would be needed.

What does the strip look like when lit?
