Description
This COB LED strip is a continuous, dot-free line of diodes on a flexible reel, giving an even ribbon of light with no visible spotting along its run. It draws 10W per metre and puts out 1050 lumens per metre in a crisp 6500K daylight tone, with a high Ra 90 colour rendering that keeps surfaces and finishes looking true. Sold as one of the most searched led strip light formats, what Americans call led tape light cuts to length at the marked points every 5cm, so the line can be trimmed to fit a given length exactly.
Because the light sits in a thin, low-profile line, it suits under-cabinet runs in a kitchen, cove and pelmet detailing, shelf edges, display niches and concealed perimeter lighting where a hidden source is wanted. The daylight tone and Ra 90 rendering make it a good match for task areas such as worktops and workshop benches, while the dot-free output means it can be run behind a diffuser or open along a shelf without the dotted look of spaced SMD tape. Coverage is a continuous wash along the length of the reel rather than a single beam, so it lights linear features evenly instead of an area at a fixed lux level.
The strip runs on 24V DC, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver, which is sold separately, rather than connecting straight to the mains. It is rated IP00, so it is for dry indoor use only and should be kept clear of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor position. Each cut point falls every 5cm along the reel, and the tape carries an adhesive backing for a clean run along a surface. Rated for 30,000 hours, it is supplied on a long 50m reel that can be cut and joined to suit the layout. The range also includes warm and neutral white options on the same 24V platform.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, so it must be powered through a matching 24V LED driver rather than connected directly to a mains socket. The driver is sold separately, and its rating should cover the total wattage of the length you install at 10W per metre.
Where can I cut the strip?
The tape cuts to length only at the marked cut points, which fall every 5cm along the reel. Trim on the line at those points so the circuit stays intact, and the offcut can be joined back into the run with a suitable connector.
Can I use it outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This strip is rated IP00 and is for dry indoor use only. Keep it clear of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor or sheltered-outdoor position, where a coated IP65 strip would be needed instead.
How do I clean it?
Switch off at the driver and let the strip cool, then wipe the surface gently with a dry or barely damp lint-free cloth. Avoid soaking it or using solvents, and take care around the cut points and connectors so the contacts stay dry.
