Description

The COB LED Strip gives a continuous, dot-free line of light along a flexible reel, drawing 10W per metre for 1050 lumens per metre. Where spaced SMD tape shows visible diodes, this strip uses chip-on-board technology so the lit line reads as one smooth, even run with no dotting along its length. The light is a crisp Daylight tone at 6500K with a high Ra 90 colour rendering, so colours and surfaces stay true under it. As a light strip or LED tape, as it is often described in the US, it suits anyone who wants a clean lit edge rather than a row of separate points.

The 25m reel suits long decorative and accent runs, working well under kitchen cabinets and counters, along shelving, inside coving and cove channels, and behind furniture or mirror frames where a hidden source is wanted. It is indoor only, so keep it to dry rooms and away from bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor position. Rather than lighting a whole room on its own, the strip is best used to graze a wall, trace an outline or wash a recess, with brightness and throw depending on how close the run sits to the surface it lights.

The strip can be cut to length at the marked points every 5cm, so a run can be tailored to a cabinet, shelf or channel. It runs from a 24V DC supply, which means it needs a matching 24V LED driver, sized to the total wattage of the run and sold separately; it does not connect straight to the mains. Rated IP00, it is for dry indoor use only and should be kept clear of moisture. Each diode is rated for around 30,000 hours of life. The strip is supplied on a flexible self-contained reel with no separate housing or finish to specify.

Yes. It runs on 24V DC, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver, which is sold separately. Size the driver to the total wattage of your run, allowing 10W for every metre of strip you connect.

Can the strip be cut to length, and where?

Yes. The strip can be shortened at the marked cut points, which fall every 5cm along the reel. Only cut at these marked points so each section keeps its full circuit; cutting elsewhere will stop that length working.

Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?

No. This strip is rated IP00, which means dry indoor use only. Keep it out of bathrooms, damp rooms and any outdoor or sheltered-outdoor position, as it has no moisture protection.
