Description
This COB LED strip is a continuous, dot-free line of diodes on a flexible 5m reel, giving an even line of cool white light with no visible spots along its length. Often searched as led tape or a light strip, it draws 10W per metre and puts out 1000 lumens per metre at a 4000K cool white tone, with a CRI of Ra90 for accurate colour. The strip runs on 12V DC, so it pairs with a matching 12V LED driver (sold separately) rather than plugging straight into a wall socket.
It suits under-cabinet runs, shelf edges, cove and ceiling perimeters, and display or task accents where a smooth band of light is wanted instead of individual points. The dot-free face makes it a good fit behind diffusers and in shallow profiles, where spaced diodes would otherwise show as bright marks. As a continuous line at 1000 lumens per metre it lifts a worktop or grazes a wall evenly, so plan it as accent and edge lighting rather than a room's main ambient source.
The strip is supplied on a 5m reel and cuts to length only at the marked 2.5 cm intervals, so you can trim it to the run you need. Its IP00 rating means it is for dry indoor use only, so keep it clear of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor position. Rated for around 30,000 hours and weighing just 58g, it mounts on its self-adhesive backing to clean, dry surfaces. Other widths and outputs are offered across the COB LED Strip range alongside compatible 12V drivers.

Frequently Asked
Does this LED strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 12V DC, so it needs a matching 12V LED driver, which is sold separately. It does not connect directly to the mains, and the driver should be sized to cover the total wattage of the length you install.
Can the strip be cut to length?
Yes. It can be trimmed to fit your run, but only at the marked cut points, which fall every 2.5 cm. Cutting at any other position will leave a non-working section.
Can I use this strip outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This strip is rated IP00, which is for dry indoor use only. Keep it clear of bathrooms, kitchens splash zones, damp areas and any outdoor or sheltered-outdoor position.
How do I clean the strip?
Wipe the strip gently with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth once it is switched off and cool. Avoid solvents and excess moisture, and never soak it, as the strip is not sealed against water.
