Description
This COB LED strip is a continuous, dot-free line of light on a flexible reel, drawing 10W per metre for around 920 lumens per metre of even cool white at 4000K. Searched for as led strip lights, this is what the US market calls led tape light, and unlike spaced SMD reels the closely packed diodes give a smooth glowing line with no visible dots. It cuts to length every 5cm at the marked points, so a 25m reel can be trimmed to fit a run exactly.
The strip suits under-cabinet lighting, shelf and plinth detailing, cove and ceiling-perimeter runs, and outline work along eaves or steps. Because it carries an IP65 rating it copes with damp and sheltered outdoor positions as well as kitchens and bathrooms. As a linear accent rather than ambient room lighting, judge it on the line it lights rather than a floor area: the cool 4000K tone reads crisp and bright, good for task zones and clean architectural edges, and longer continuous lengths spread light evenly with no dark gaps between sections.
Build is a flexible PCB carrying the COB diodes with a protective coating for the IP65 weatherproofing, and a Ra90 colour rendering keeps colours looking true. It runs on 24V DC, so it is not a mains-direct fitting and needs a matching 24V LED driver, sized to the total wattage of the length used and ordered separately. Rated for 30,000 hours, the reel solders or clips to the driver at the cut ends. Other lengths and forms are available across this COB strip range.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, so it is not mains-direct and must be powered through a matching 24V LED driver. Size the driver to the total wattage of the length you use, at 10W per metre, and order it separately.
Where can the strip be cut?
It can be trimmed every 5cm at the marked cut points along the reel. Only cut at those marks, then connect the cut end back to the driver. The full reel is 25m, so you can tailor each run to length.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. The coated IP65 rating makes it weatherproof and suitable for damp and sheltered outdoor positions such as eaves, soffits and covered patios. It also handles kitchen and bathroom splash zones indoors.
How do I clean it?
Switch off and wipe the coated surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry it. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners, which can mark the protective coating. Take care around the cut and connection ends.
