Description
This COB LED strip light gives a continuous, dot-free line of light along its full 25 metre reel, with no visible diodes or spotting in the beam. It draws 10W per metre and puts out 950 lumens per metre in a 4000K cool white tone, with a high Ra 90 colour rendering that keeps surfaces and colours looking true. Sold in the US as a COB led tape light, it runs from a 12V DC supply rather than straight from the mains, so a matching 12V LED driver is needed (supplied separately). The strip cuts to length at the marked interval, every 2.5 cm, letting you size each run to the space.
Because it carries an IP65 rating, this strip suits both dry indoor work and damp or sheltered outdoor positions: under-cabinet and worktop lighting in kitchens, cove and recess detailing, shelving, and outline runs along eaves, soffits or covered patios. The even line of light works well for grazing along a surface or backlighting, and the cool white output is bright enough for task areas as well as accent work. Coverage is best judged by run length rather than floor area, so plan each length to the feature being lit and join sections from a single driver where the total load allows.
The reel is a flexible printed strip with a coated IP65 weatherproof finish, ready for damp and sheltered exterior use. It works on 12V DC and must be paired with a correctly sized 12V LED driver, which is ordered separately and chosen to match the total wattage of the cut length. Rated at 30,000 hours, the strip cuts only at the printed 2.5 cm points. We also stock the matching drivers and connectors in this range to complete an installation.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a separate driver?
Yes. It runs on 12V DC, not mains voltage, so it needs a 12V LED driver, which is supplied separately. Choose a driver rated for the total wattage of the length you install, allowing a little headroom above the load.
Where can the strip be cut?
The strip is cut-to-length at the marked points every 2.5 cm. Only cut at these printed intervals so each section keeps a complete circuit, and seal or connect the cut end correctly.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. The IP65 rating means it is weatherproof and coated against moisture, so it is fine in damp and sheltered outdoor spots such as covered eaves, soffits and patios, as well as kitchens and utility areas indoors.
How do I clean and maintain the strip?
Wipe the coated surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth and let it dry before switching back on. Avoid harsh solvents or abrasives that could damage the IP65 coating, and check that any cut ends and connectors stay sealed.
