Description
The COB LED Strip is a continuous, dot-free line of diodes on a flexible reel, giving a smooth band of light with none of the spotting you see on older spaced-diode tape. It draws 10W per metre and delivers 1000 lumens per metre in a 4000K cool white tone, with a high Ra90 colour rendering that keeps surfaces and finishes looking true. Known in the US market as COB LED tape light, it cuts to length every 5cm at the marked points, so a run can be trimmed to fit the exact length needed.
Supplied on a 25 metre reel, this strip suits under-cabinet lines, shelf and cove lighting, display niches and continuous outline runs along skirting or joinery. Because the emitting line is unbroken, it works well where the strip is partly visible or grazes across a surface, with no dotty hotspots. Coverage is best judged by run length rather than floor area: position it to wash a worktop, edge a recess or trace a ceiling cove, and join trimmed sections to follow the layout. It is rated IP00, so keep it to dry indoor locations only and clear of damp or splash zones.
Construction is a slim flexible reel measuring 8mm wide, carrying the diodes along a continuous strip rated for 30,000 hours. It runs on 24V DC and needs a matching 24V LED driver, which is sold separately, so it does not connect straight to the mains. The strip is IP00, meaning no ingress protection, and is intended for dry interiors. Our wider COB strip range covers other outputs and tones if a warmer or higher-power line suits the project better.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver rather than a direct mains connection. The driver is sold separately, sized to the total wattage of the run you install.
Can the strip be cut to length?
Yes. It can be trimmed every 5cm at the marked cut points along the reel. Only cut at those marks so the cut section continues to work correctly.
Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This strip is rated IP00 with no ingress protection, so it is for dry indoor use only. Keep it clear of bathrooms, damp areas and any splash or outdoor locations.
How do I keep the strip clean?
Wipe the surface gently with a dry or barely damp lint-free cloth once the strip is switched off and cool. Avoid solvents and do not let moisture reach the diodes or contacts, as the strip has no ingress protection.
