Description
This COB LED strip lights a room as a continuous, dot-free line rather than the spaced points you see on older tape. Each metre draws 10W and gives 920 lumens of warm white (3000K) light, so a run reads as one even glow with no visible diodes along its length. Sold in the US as led tape light, it ships on a flexible 50m reel that can be trimmed to fit the job, with cut points marked every 5cm. The high Ra90 colour rendering keeps wood tones, paint and worktops looking true under it.
The even, glare-free output suits cove and pelmet runs, under-cabinet lighting in a kitchen, shelf and display lighting, and accent lines along skirtings or stair stringers. Because the light is dot-free, it works well where the strip sits close to a surface or where the diffused line itself is on show. The IP00 rating means this is a dry indoor product only, so keep it clear of bathrooms, kitchens splash zones, porches and any outdoor or damp position. For longer spans, plan the layout around the 5cm cut interval and the reachable cut points so each section meets a neat join.
The diodes are mounted on a flexible reel that bends around shallow corners and follows curved profiles. It runs on 24V DC, so it is not a mains-direct product and needs a matching 24V LED driver, which is supplied separately and sized to the total wattage of the run you cut. Rated at 30,000 hours, the strip cuts only at the marked 5cm points and should not be cut elsewhere. Our range also includes the drivers and aluminium profiles that finish a run cleanly.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a separate driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, not straight from the mains, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver. The driver is supplied separately and should be sized to the total wattage of the length you cut, allowing 10W for every metre in the run.
Where can the strip be cut?
The strip is cut-to-length at the marked points, which fall every 5cm along the reel. Only cut at those marks, never between them, so the circuit on each section stays intact. From a single 50m reel you can make up several runs to suit different parts of a room.
Can this be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This version is rated IP00, which means dry indoor use only. Keep it out of bathrooms, kitchen splash zones, porches and any outdoor or damp location. For sheltered or damp areas you would need a coated IP65 strip instead.
How do I clean the strip once installed?
Switch it off and let it cool, then wipe the surface gently with a dry or barely damp lint-free cloth. Avoid soaking the strip or using solvents, and take care around the cut ends and connectors. Mounting the run inside an aluminium profile makes dusting easier and protects the diodes.
