Description
The COB LED Strip is a continuous, dot-free line of diodes mounted on a flexible reel, so the light reads as one smooth band rather than a row of visible points. It draws 10W per metre and gives 1000 lumens per metre of 4000K cool white light, with a high Ra90 colour rendering that keeps surfaces and finishes looking true. Sold across the Atlantic as LED tape light, it suits anyone wanting a clean, even line of brightness. The strip runs on 24V DC, so it pairs with a matching 24V LED driver and is not wired straight to the mains.
The 50 metre reel covers long runs such as under-cabinet lines in a kitchen, cove and ceiling perimeter detailing, shelving, display joinery and stair-edge accents. Because the output is a continuous grazing line rather than a downward room light, it works best as accent and task-edge lighting close to the surface it sits on, washing along worktops, shelf undersides and recesses. It carries an IP00 rating, which means it is for dry indoor positions only, so keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any outdoor or damp location. The reel cuts to length at marked points every 5cm, letting you tailor each section to the cabinet, shelf or alcove it lines.
Built on a slim flexible carrier just 8mm wide, the strip bends around corners and follows curved profiles where a rigid fitting will not. It needs a separately specified 24V DC LED driver sized to the total run, and the strip cuts only at the printed 5cm intervals to keep each segment working. The rated lifespan is 30,000 hours, and the cool white tone gives a crisp, neutral light well suited to work and display areas. This range also includes matching profiles and drivers to complete an installation.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, so it requires a matching 24V LED driver rather than a direct mains connection. Choose a driver rated to carry the total wattage of the length you install, allowing some headroom above the strip's 10W per metre draw.
Can the strip be cut to length, and where?
Yes. The reel can be cut to length at the marked points every 5cm. Always cut on the printed line so each section keeps its circuit intact; cutting between marks will leave a dead segment.
Is it suitable for outdoor or bathroom use?
No. This strip carries an IP00 rating, which means it is intended for dry indoor positions only. Keep it out of bathrooms, porches and any outdoor, wet or damp location where moisture could reach the diodes.
What is the best way to clean it?
Switch off and let the strip cool, then wipe it gently with a dry or barely damp lint-free cloth. Avoid soaking it or using solvents, and take care around the cut ends and driver connections so no moisture gets into the circuit.
