Description

The Clorbelle is a ceiling pendant light that pairs a black steel wire cage with a smoked glass globe hung inside it. The cage is faceted like a cut gem, its slim lines tracing triangles around the glass, while the globe itself is tinted black yet still transparent, so you can see the bulb sitting within the shade. It measures 32.5cm across and 110cm in overall height, from the ceiling canopy to the base of the cage. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W, which is not included, so you can choose the bulb that suits the room. Rated IP20, it belongs indoors in dry rooms rather than in a bathroom or out in the garden.

Hung over a dining table, it gives the room a clear centre point and draws the eye to the table. The open cage keeps it looking light even at 32.5cm across, so it never feels heavy above a table full of people. It suits a dining room, a living room or a hallway, and the black and smoked grey tones sit comfortably beside warm timber, white walls and industrial pieces alike. Because the glass is tinted, it softens the look of a bare bulb, and a decorative filament bulb will show through the smoked glass for a vintage feel.

The body is steel with a black finish that matches the round ceiling canopy, and the shade is vaporised glass in black-transparent. There is no switch on the fitting itself, so it is switched at the wall. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and weighs 1.222KG packed. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Choose a bulb within the 40W maximum and the pendant is ready to light your table.
