Description

This wooden linear pendant light hangs three woven shades from a single black ceiling bar, so one fitting lights the full length of a table. The ceiling bar is black steel and the three cords are black, while each dome shade is woven wood in a natural tone, finished with a black cap at the top and a tan ring around the open base. It measures 90cm long, 20cm wide and 110cm tall overall. Each shade takes an E27 bulb of up to 40W, and with an IP20 rating it is made for dry rooms indoors.

Hung over a dining table or a kitchen island, it spreads light along the surface rather than gathering it in one spot, which suits a long table where a single pendant would leave the ends in shadow. The natural wood against black steel sits comfortably in a rustic, coastal or relaxed modern room, and the open weave lets light pass through the sides of each shade as well as out of the open base, so the room around the table gets a gentle glow too. Because the bulbs show through the weave, a decorative filament bulb is well worth considering.

There is no switch on the fitting itself, as it is switched at the wall like most ceiling lights. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download. Bulbs are not included, so have three E27 bulbs of up to 40W each ready for the day it is fitted. Packed, it weighs 2.985KG, which keeps it manageable when you unpack it.
