Description

The Clenvarne is a dome pendant light in black and copper: a steel shade, black on its outer face and copper inside, hung on a slim black cord from a round black ceiling rose. A narrow collar rises from the crown of the dome, and the rim finishes in a neat lip. The pendant is 110cm tall overall and the shade is 37cm across, a generous size that holds its own over a table. It takes an E27 bulb up to 60W, and the bulb is not included, so the colour and warmth of the light are your choice. It is rated IP20, which settles where it lives: indoors, in dry rooms.

Over a dining table is the natural place for it, where the copper interior reflects the light and casts a warm tone across the table top. It works just as well above a kitchen island, a breakfast bar or a desk in a home study, and a row of them hung along a long table gives a relaxed café feel. The dark shade sits comfortably against pale walls, oak and exposed brick, and suits anyone furnishing in an industrial or farmhouse look who still wants a light that does a proper job.
