Description

Some bulbs are made to disappear inside a shade. This one is not. It stands 44cm tall and measures 12cm at its widest, so it reads as the fitting itself when hung from a bare flex or a simple cord set. The smoked finish softens the glow and takes the glare off the source, while the extra warm colour keeps the light close to old filament lamps rather than anything cool or clinical. It draws 4W and dims down with a compatible dimmer, so you can set it low for the evening. There is nothing to add to it: the lamp is the whole ornament.

We reach for a lamp like this where a shade would only hide the interest: over a dining table, above a bar or kitchen island, in a stairwell where the drop can be seen from below, or along a long hallway.
