Clamorne 2 Light Spotlight Bar - Satin Nickel

The Clamorne is a two light spotlight bar in satin nickel, made for the ceiling. A slim steel plate 30cm long and 7cm wide carries two adjustable spot heads, and the whole fitting is 12.6cm high. Each head holds a white satin glass shade that softens the bulb rather than leaving it bare, and each takes an E14 bulb of up to 40W. Bulbs are not included, so the choice of warm or cool white stays yours. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms, away from steam and splashing water.

Because the heads swivel independently, one bar does two jobs: angle one spot at a picture, a bookcase or a reading chair and send the other across the room for general light. It suits living rooms, bedrooms, studies and hallways, and at 12.6cm high it keeps close to the ceiling, which makes it a good choice where a hanging pendant would crowd a landing or a room with a modest ceiling height. Two spots on one plate also mean a single ceiling point gives you light in two directions, a simple upgrade from a lone central bulb.

The body is steel with a satin nickel finish, a soft brushed grey that sits comfortably beside chrome, stainless steel and white paintwork, and the bright metal stems give the joints a crisp edge. There is no switch on the fitting itself: it runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and is switched at the wall. As a wired mains light it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. It weighs 0.751KG packed. For care, wipe the plate and heads with a soft dry cloth once the bulbs have cooled, and give the glass shades a lightly damp cloth so the satin surface stays even.

Can the Clamorne spotlight bar go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which means indoors and dry only, so we keep it out of bathrooms, away from steam, and never outdoors.

Which bulbs does it take?

Each of the two heads takes an E14 bulb up to a maximum of 40W. Bulbs are not included, so you can choose the shade of white you prefer.

Can the spot heads be angled?

Yes. Each head is adjustable, so you can point one spot at a picture or a shelf and turn the other wherever you need general light.
