Chisora 5 Light Glass Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - Polished Chrome

The Chisora is a 400mm square flush ceiling light built around two layers of frosted glass panels suspended on a polished chrome frame, with cut crystal strands hanging between the layers. Five G9 bulb sockets sit behind the upper frosted glass panel, casting light through both the glass and the suspended crystals to create diffused ambient light with points of refraction.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.8m where a pendant would hang too low, the Chisora provides ambient lighting in living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways without projecting more than 120mm from the ceiling. The 400mm footprint suits ceiling areas of 3m × 3m or larger, giving enough presence to act as a central feature without overwhelming smaller rooms. The flush mount fixes directly to a standard UK ceiling rose or junction box.

The polished chrome frame reflects ambient daylight and lamplight, while the frosted glass panels soften the light output and reduce glare from the five G9 bulbs. The suspended crystal strands add visual texture and movement when the light is on, catching and refracting the light from the bulbs into prismatic highlights across the ceiling and walls. The square geometry gives the fitting a defined edge that pairs cleanly with rectilinear furniture, mirrored surfaces and contemporary interiors.

The Chisora accepts dimmable G9 LED bulbs, allowing light levels to be adjusted from bright task lighting during the day to soft ambient glow in the evening. The fitting weighs 3.8kg when fully assembled, requiring secure fixing to a ceiling joist or a plasterboard anchor rated to support at least 5kg.

What bulbs does it take?

The Chisora takes five G9 capsule bulbs, each up to 33W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 3W and 5W (equivalent to 25-40W halogen) at 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable G9 LED bulbs and pair them with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Non-dimmable bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 120mm projection from the ceiling makes this suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or above. It works well in standard UK residential rooms with 2.4m ceilings, where a pendant would hang too low.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power at the mains. Wipe the polished chrome frame and glass panels with a dry microfibre cloth. The suspended crystal strands can be dusted gently or, for deeper cleaning, wiped with a barely-damp cloth and dried immediately to prevent water spotting.
