Description

The Chapel is a 1m black pillar lantern with a traditional coach-style lantern head mounted on a tapered column. Manufactured from die-cast aluminium with a textured black powder-coat finish, the lantern uses clear glass panels on all four sides of the head to maximise light spread. The fitting takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately) and carries an IP44 rating for protection against rain and dust.

Designed for mounting on brick piers flanking driveways, at the base of garden steps, or along pathways where a traditional lamp-post profile is wanted, the 1m height positions the light source at knee-to-waist level. The clear glass panels and downward-facing aperture direct light onto the ground beneath the lantern rather than into the eyes of approaching visitors. The 205mm-square footprint requires a flat mounting surface and four fixing points through the base plate.

The die-cast aluminium construction resists corrosion in coastal and exposed garden environments, while the textured black finish hides minor surface weathering better than gloss finishes.
