Description

The Cesto is a 530mm semi-flush ceiling light built around a polished chrome circular frame supporting a dense arrangement of faceted crystal spheres. Six G9 bulbs (sold separately, max 33W each) sit within the chrome frame, directing light through the crystals to create layered refraction across every faceted surface. The crystal spheres are individually mounted to form a continuous bowl shape, giving the appearance of a single carved piece rather than separate elements.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above where a full chandelier drop would be impractical, the 330mm height suits entrance halls, dining rooms, bedrooms and living rooms needing ambient light with decorative presence. The semi-flush profile keeps the fitting close to the ceiling while the crystal bowl and lower finial maintain visual weight and focus. The polished chrome finish reflects both daylight and artificial light, amplifying the sparkle from the crystals.

At 13.5kg the fitting requires secure fixing into a ceiling joist or reinforced mounting point, not just a plasterboard surface. The weight comes from the density of the crystal layer and the solid chrome frame, which gives the piece its structural integrity. The Cesto takes six G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for ambient living space lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable G9 LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. Not all G9 LEDs are dimmable, so check the bulb packaging before purchasing.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 330mm height suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In lower-ceiling rooms the fitting will still work but may feel visually dominant depending on room size.

Does it need reinforced ceiling mounting?

Yes. At 13.5kg the Cesto must be fixed into a ceiling joist or reinforced mounting point capable of supporting the weight. Fixing into plasterboard alone is not safe and will not hold the fitting securely.
