Description

The Cellar is a 4-light semi-flush ceiling light with a black metal frame and four opal glass spheres arranged on extending arms around a central stem. Each sphere houses a G4 capsule bulb (sold separately), with the opal glass diffusing the light evenly in all directions. The compact 370mm diameter and 375mm drop fit rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or above without the fitting dominating the space.

Designed for hallways, compact kitchens, bedrooms and dining areas where a close-to-ceiling fitting is needed, the Cellar provides ambient light across the room rather than task lighting. The four G4 bulbs give flexibility to choose the total wattage and colour temperature that suits the room. The semi-flush mount positions the bulbs 375mm below the ceiling, keeping the light source above head height in most residential rooms.

The black powder-coated frame contrasts with the white opal glass, giving the fitting a defined silhouette when unlit and a softer appearance when the globes glow. The opal glass hides the bulb filaments or LED chips completely, preventing glare when viewed from below. The arms extend from the central stem at different heights, creating an asymmetric composition that looks more architectural than a simple cluster of globes on a single plane.

The 370mm square footprint keeps the four globes contained within a compact area, and the sold-separately G4 sockets mean you can set both wattage and colour temperature to match adjoining rooms. The light distribution around all sides makes it well suited to central positions.

The fitting takes four G4 capsule bulbs, sold separately. G4 bulbs are bi-pin capsules commonly available in 12V LED or halogen versions. We suggest 3-5W warm-white LEDs per bulb for a total output of 12-20W across the fitting.

Yes. The 375mm drop from ceiling to lowest point suits ceiling heights of 2.3m or above. The semi-flush mount positions the fitting closer to the ceiling than a pendant, making it appropriate for rooms where headroom is limited.
