Description

The Castralvo is a linear pendant light that hangs five white fabric shades in a row beneath a long bar of light brown wood. Satin nickel fittings join each shade to the wood, and a matching wooden ceiling bar holds it on two slim suspension lines. It measures 121cm long and 15cm wide, with an overall height of 110cm, so it suits a long dining table or kitchen island. Each shade takes an E27 bulb of up to 28W. The bulbs are not included, which leaves the choice of colour and brightness with you. With an IP20 rating it has no protection against water, so it belongs indoors in dry rooms.

Hung over a dining table or a kitchen island, the five shades spread light along the surface, so everyone at the table sits in the same soft glow. The white fabric softens each bulb, while the light wood and satin nickel sit comfortably in a modern, rustic or pared-back kitchen. It is a good choice for anyone who wants one fitting to cover a long breakfast bar or table rather than three or four separate pendants. Keep it in dry living spaces. Kitchens, dining rooms and open plan living areas suit it well, but a bathroom or anywhere outdoors does not.

The body pairs steel with wood, and the shades are white fabric. There is no switch on the light itself. It is switched at the wall, so it works from your existing light switch. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains, and as a mains ceiling light it is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download. Packed, it weighs 4.737KG. Before you order, measure your table: at 121cm long, the bar looks best with some clear space at each end.
