Description

The Cara is an 8-light semi-flush ceiling light with a satin nickel frame supporting eight crystal shades, each packed with faceted octagon crystal pieces. The frame radiates outward in curved arms from a central hub, positioning the shades in a circular arrangement. Each shade houses a G9 bulb (sold separately, up to 33W per bulb) which, when lit, refracts through the crystal facets to cast fragmented reflections across the ceiling and surrounding walls.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or lower where a traditional chandelier would hang too low, the 220mm drop keeps the fitting close to the ceiling while the 620mm diameter provides enough presence to act as a central feature in living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. The satin nickel finish on the metalwork pairs with contemporary chrome hardware, brushed steel appliances and cool grey wall colours without competing for attention, letting the crystal work handle the decorative impact.

Small crystal spheres are set into the metalwork between the main shades, adding extra points of reflection and giving the fitting a finished appearance from below and from the sides. The combined weight of the crystal, metal frame and eight bulbs totals 3.4kg, requiring secure fixing to a ceiling joist or a suitable support within a plasterboard ceiling. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, allowing output to be reduced for evening ambient lighting.

The Cara works in both minimalist interiors that need a single focal point and in layered schemes built around mirrors, glass furniture and metallic accents. The satin finish on the nickel reduces reflections under daylight, preventing the fitting from appearing too shiny or polished in rooms with large windows.
