The Caprarola is a glass pendant light with a tapered teardrop shade in satin glass, finished in a pale sandy tone, with fine vertical ribs running from crown to rim. It hangs from a brushed brass ceiling rose on a slim black cord, with a short brushed brass stem where the cord meets the shade. The body is steel. It stands 110cm tall overall and measures 20cm across, so the shade stays compact over a table while the drop brings the light down to where you sit. It takes a single E27 bulb of up to 40W, and the bulb is not included, which leaves the choice of warmth and brightness to you. With an IP20 rating it belongs indoors in a dry room.

We would hang it over a dining table, where the satin glass softens the bulb into an even glow and the ribs give the shade texture by day as well as by night. Over a kitchen island or a breakfast bar, two or three in a row work well, and a single pendant suits a hallway, a landing or a bedroom just as happily.
