The Camile is a 160x60cm stainless steel wall sculpture made from multiple layered panels, each folded and curved to create three-dimensional depth across a two-dimensional wall plane. The rose gold finish on the stainless steel gives the piece a warm metallic tone that shifts in appearance depending on ambient light and viewing angle, with each panel catching and reflecting light differently.

Schuller produces the Camile in Spain using laser-cut stainless steel sheets that are individually shaped, polished to the rose gold tone, then assembled into the final composition. The folded geometry of each panel gives the sculpture structural rigidity without requiring a heavy backing frame, keeping the overall weight lower than solid-sheet metal art of the same dimensions. The rose gold finish sits between yellow gold and copper in tone, pairing comfortably with both warm brass lighting fixtures and cooler stainless or chrome hardware in the same room.

The stainless steel construction resists tarnish and corrosion, so the piece can be installed in kitchens, bathrooms or conservatories where humidity levels fluctuate without the finish degrading. The reflective surface will show fingerprints if touched, but these wipe away with a dry microfibre cloth. At 6.2kg, the Camile needs wall fixings appropriate to your wall construction. Solid brick or concrete walls take standard masonry anchors. Plasterboard walls need toggle bolts or fixings into wall studs to safely support the weight and 20cm projection.

How is the rose gold finish maintained?

Wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid abrasive cleaners, chemical sprays or polishes that can scratch or dull the polished stainless steel finish.
