Description

The Camden is a 100cm diameter circular wall mirror with a 2.5cm deep black-painted wood frame. The mirror glass sits flush with the frame edge, giving a clean unbroken circle when viewed from the front. At 13kg the mirror requires secure wall fixings into masonry or studs rather than plasterboard alone.

Designed for hallways, above mantels, in bedrooms and behind sofas, the 100cm diameter works in rooms with wall widths of 120cm or more to avoid the mirror dominating the space. The shallow 2.5cm profile keeps the mirror close to the wall, reducing the shadow line and making it suitable for narrow hallways where deeper frames would intrude. The black frame pairs with dark wood furniture, black metal fixtures and monochrome interiors, while providing contrast against lighter wall colours.

The wood frame is painted black rather than stained, so the finish is opaque and consistent across the surface with no visible grain. The paint has a low-sheen finish that reduces fingerprints and shows less dust than gloss black. The mirror mounts via D-rings or keyhole brackets on the rear (check packaging on arrival for the specific fixing style), and requires two secure fixings spaced to match the bracket positions.

At 13kg the Camden requires two secure fixings into masonry, brick or wall studs. Standard plasterboard fixings will not support the weight safely. Use heavy-duty masonry anchors or coach screws into studs, positioned to match the D-ring or keyhole bracket spacing on the rear of the mirror.

What room size does the 100cm diameter suit?

A 100cm mirror works best on walls with at least 120cm width, leaving 10cm clearance either side. In smaller hallways or above narrow mantels, a 70-80cm version may be more appropriate.

Is the frame painted or stained?

The black finish is painted, not stained, so the wood grain is not visible. The paint has a low-sheen finish that reduces fingerprint marks and dust visibility compared to high-gloss black.

Can it be hung in a bathroom?
