Description

The Calyra Large is a 1370mm semi-flush ceiling light built around twelve hand-cut Spanish alabaster panels arranged on a brushed brass frame. Each soft-edged panel is set at a slightly different height and angle, creating a layered, scattered composition rather than a uniform grid. An integrated LED behind each stone projects warm 3000K light through a small brass aperture at the centre of the panel and outwards through the alabaster itself.

The semi-flush mounting drops the fixture only 227mm from the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with standard 2.4m ceilings where a chandelier would feel overbearing. The 1370mm length and 635mm width make it well matched to long dining tables, kitchen islands, hallways and open-plan living areas where a single pendant would not fill the visual space. The shallow drop also keeps the fitting clear of sightlines across an open room.

Each alabaster panel is cut from natural Spanish stone, so the veining, mineral patterning and translucency vary across the twelve elements. Lit, the stones glow warmly while the brass apertures throw a sharper downward beam onto the surface below, producing both ambient and directional light from a single fitting. The stainless steel chassis carries the weight of the alabaster while the brushed brass arms, canopy and apertures provide the visible finish.
