Description
The Cadris is a 400mm square flush ceiling light built around a solid panel of natural Spanish alabaster, fixed to the ceiling with four brushed brass screw caps at the corners. An integrated LED behind the stone runs at 3000K on 230V mains, and the alabaster itself acts as the diffuser, casting warm, even light through the panel rather than from a visible bulb.
At just 50mm deep, the Cadris is designed for ceilings where a low-profile fitting is needed: hallways, landings, kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms with limited headroom, or rooms where a pendant or semi-flush would feel too dominant. The flush mount sits directly against the ceiling with no drop, which makes it a workable answer for the 'ceiling lights for low ceilings' problem in older properties and converted spaces with beams or sloped soffits above.
Each alabaster panel is cut from natural stone, so the veining, mineral patterning and tonal variation differ between individual pieces — under the LED, those patterns become visible as the warm light passes through the translucent stone. The brushed brass screw caps at the four corners introduce a warm metallic contrast against the pale alabaster and give the square geometry a defined edge. Combined diameter is 400mm, which suits rooms of around 6-10m² as a primary light source or larger rooms as part of a multi-fitting layout.

Frequently Asked
Is the Cadris suitable for low ceilings?
Yes. The 50mm profile sits flush against the ceiling with no drop, which makes it a practical choice for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m, under-stair landings, attic conversions and spaces with structural beams.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
An IP rating is not stated for this fitting, so it should not be installed in bathroom Zones 0, 1 or 2 where direct water contact is possible. It can be used in Zone 3 or in a bathroom outside the zoned areas, subject to a qualified electrician's assessment.
Does each piece look the same?
No. Each Cadris uses a panel of natural Spanish alabaster, and the veining, tonal variation and mineral patterning differ between individual pieces. Variation in the stone is part of the material, not a defect.
How is it fitted?
The Cadris is a flush ceiling fitting wired into a standard UK 230V mains supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician. The four brushed brass corner screws secure the alabaster panel to the ceiling-mounted base.
