Description
The Cadris is a 600mm square flush ceiling light cut from a single slab of natural Spanish alabaster, held in place by four brushed brass fixing screws set into the side faces. An integrated LED inside the housing casts warm 3000K light through the stone at 230V, turning the alabaster panel itself into the diffuser rather than relying on a separate lens or shade.
At only 50mm deep, the Cadris is built specifically for rooms where a hanging pendant would not work: hallways, landings, ensuites, dressing rooms, lower-ceilinged kitchens and bedrooms with structural beams. The flush profile sits tight against the ceiling so headroom is preserved under doorways and on stairwell landings. The 600mm square footprint covers a meaningful area, making it suited to rooms of roughly 8-12m² as a primary ambient source.
Each alabaster slab carries its own veining pattern and cloud-like mineral markings, so no two Cadris fittings light up identically once installed. The brushed brass screws are visible on the side faces of the housing, framing the square geometry without competing with it. Build weight is a substantial 12kg, reflecting the solid stone construction, so a secure ceiling fixing into joist or noggin is required during installation. The fitting carries a 2-year warranty.

Frequently Asked
Is the Cadris suitable for low ceilings?
Yes. The 50mm flush profile is built for rooms where a hanging pendant or semi-flush would intrude, including hallways, landings, ensuites and lower-ceilinged kitchens. It sits directly against the ceiling and preserves headroom under doorways.
What size room does the 600mm Cadris suit?
The 600mm square footprint suits rooms of roughly 8-12m² as a primary ambient light source. In larger rooms it works well as part of a layered scheme alongside wall lights, table lamps or downlights.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
The Specification tab does not list an IP rating for this fitting, so it should be installed only in zones outside the IP-rated bathroom zones (typically Zone 3 / outside zones in UK regulations). For zones above a bath or shower, a fitting with a stated IP44 or higher rating is required.
Does the alabaster vary between fittings?
Yes. Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a defect, and the variation only becomes fully visible once the LED is switched on.
