Brock Glass Vase 50cm - Grey

This is a tall grey glass vase, mouth-blown and covered from rim to base in a dense vertical relief that looks almost like running water frozen in place. It stands 50cm tall and 22cm across, swelling gently through the middle and narrowing towards both the rim and the base, so the outline is soft rather than straight-sided. The surface is glossy, and the raised ridges catch the light differently as you move around the room, which gives the glass plenty of interest even when the vase stands empty. At 2KG it is a substantial piece of glass with a reassuring heft in the hand.

At this height it stands happily on the floor, or on a low plinth, bench or sideboard, where it gives a living room, hallway or bedroom some welcome height. The opening is narrower than the body, which gathers long stems together and keeps them standing tall: dried grasses, seed heads, eucalyptus and flowering branches all suit it, and a glass vase takes fresh flowers in water just as readily.
