Description

The Briller Large is a 50cm wall light formed from a dense cluster of clear acrylic spheres threaded onto a chromed steel frame, with an integrated 15W LED at 3000K mounted at the centre. Light passes through the transparent spheres and refracts outwards, throwing a pattern of small bright points across the wall and ceiling around the fitting.

Sized for larger walls in dining rooms, hallways, stairwells and double-height living areas, the Briller works best where there is space for the refracted light pattern to spread without being clipped by adjacent furniture or pictures. The fitting projects 24.5cm from the wall, so it suits open wall runs rather than narrow corridors. The 19.5cm height keeps it compact relative to its 50cm width, giving a horizontal banded silhouette.

Each sphere is moulded from optical-grade acrylic rather than glass, which keeps the overall weight low and reduces the risk of breakage during installation or cleaning. The clear finish reads as colourless when unlit and takes on the warmth of the 3000K LED when switched on, casting a soft amber-white glow with bright internal reflections inside each sphere. The chrome frame behind the spheres is largely concealed by the cluster, with only small reflective glints visible through the gaps.

The 15W 3000K LED is integrated into the fitting rather than a swappable bulb. The lamp carries a 2-year warranty against LED failure under normal residential use.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model used. Please contact us before pairing the Briller with a dimmer circuit so we can confirm suitability for your installation.

Are the spheres glass or acrylic?

The spheres are moulded from optical-grade clear acrylic, not glass. This keeps the 50cm fitting lightweight for wall mounting and makes the spheres far less prone to chipping or shattering than equivalent glass beads.

How are the acrylic spheres cleaned?

Wipe the spheres with a soft, dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For heavier marks, use a barely-damp cloth with water only. Avoid solvents, alcohol-based cleaners and abrasive sprays, which can craze or cloud the acrylic surface.
