Description

The Binvena is a three light spotlight bar for the ceiling: a straight bar of pale, natural wood grain carrying three cylindrical black spots. Each spot sits on a short black stem and can be angled independently, so a single fitting can wash a room in light or pick out three different corners. The fitting measures 48cm long, 5cm wide and 20.5cm high. It takes three E27 bulbs of up to 10W each, and the bulbs are not included, so you can choose the warmth of light you prefer. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in dry rooms.

It suits a living room, bedroom, hallway or study where a single central light leaves corners in shadow. Turn one spot towards a reading chair, another towards shelves or a favourite print, and the third across the room, and the light follows the way you actually live in the space. The pale wood and black shades sit comfortably in rustic, modern and minimal rooms alike, and give a warmer, more homely look than an all metal spotlight bar. Fitted over a dining table, it lets you aim all three spots at the meal.

We like the mix of materials: the body combines wood and steel in brown and black, and each shade is fabric, black with a white lining. There is no switch on the fitting itself, so you control it from a wall switch.
