Description

A shallow drum of faux silk sits close to the ceiling here, nude beige on the outside with a moonlight lining that warms the light as it spreads. Beneath it, a frosted acrylic diffuser rimmed in antique brass covers the three lamps, so what you see is a soft glow rather than the bulbs themselves. At 40cm across it reads as a generous circle with very little drop.

We reach for this one where a pendant would hang too low: hallways and landings, bedrooms, a small dining room, anywhere the ceiling sits low but the room still wants a proper light in the middle. The fabric keeps things gentle enough for a bedroom, while three lamps together give ample light over a kitchen table or a desk. It takes E27 lamps and we would fit LED GLS bulbs of up to 20W each. It can be dimmed if you pair suitable lamps with a compatible dimmer.

The frame is metal in an antique brass finish, softly aged rather than bright, and it answers the brass edging on the acrylic diffuser. Keep it to dry indoor rooms and away from steam and splashing. Dust the silk with a soft brush or an upholstery nozzle on low suction, and give the diffuser and the brass a dry cloth once everything is cool. It carries a one year warranty.
