Description
The Baselle is a set of three adjustable recessed downlights, each with a round steel trim in satin nickel and a polished inner ring that holds the lamp. Each trim measures 8.7cm across, so it stays small and neat against a plain ceiling. They take GU10 lamps, each rated at 4.6W and giving 400lm. The IP20 rating settles where they belong: indoors, in dry rooms such as living rooms, bedrooms and hallways.
Because the inner ring is adjustable, you can angle each beam, which makes the set useful for washing light down a wall, picking out a picture or lighting a bookcase. Fitted in a line, three matching downlights give a living room, hallway or landing an even, uncluttered glow without a pendant in the way. They also free up headroom, which matters under a low ceiling or a sloping landing. The brushed satin nickel sits comfortably beside chrome, stainless steel and grey schemes, so the set suits a modern home without drawing the eye.
The bodies are steel, and the satin nickel finish has a fine brushed grain with a brighter polished ring at the centre. A pair of sprung clips sits at the sides of each body. Each downlight needs a ceiling cut-out of 7cm and a recess depth of 11.5cm. There is no switch on the lights themselves; they are switched at the wall and run on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains. As a wired-in mains light, the set is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Before you order, measure the space above your ceiling to be sure it takes the 11.5cm depth comfortably.

Frequently Asked
Can these downlights go in a bathroom?
No. They are rated IP20, which means indoors and dry only, so we suggest living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and landings rather than a bathroom or anywhere near water.
Can the angle of each downlight be adjusted?
Yes. The inner ring that holds the lamp is adjustable, so you can tilt each beam towards a wall, a picture or a bookcase.
What size hole does each downlight need?
Each downlight needs a ceiling cut-out of 7cm and a recess depth of 11.5cm, and the round trim measures 8.7cm across.
How bright is each light?
Each light takes a GU10 lamp rated at 4.6W and gives 400lm, a comfortable level for general lighting in a living room, hallway or bedroom.
Is there a switch on the downlights?
No, there is no switch on the lights themselves. They are switched at the wall and run on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains.
What finish is the trim?
The steel trim is satin nickel, a soft brushed metallic with a brighter polished inner ring, and it sits well beside chrome and grey.
