Description

The Bano is a 1015mm diameter 5-tier crystal chandelier built around five circular French gold frames, each supporting curtains of faceted crystal strands that cascade in a tapered column from top tier to bottom. An integrated 150W LED array inside the structure delivers 17500 lumens of 4000K cool white light through the crystal, turning each strand into a refractive element that scatters light across the room.

Designed for double-height entrance halls, hotel lobbies, grand staircases and dining rooms with ceiling heights of 3.5m or higher, the Bano provides both ambient illumination and a central decorative anchor. The adjustable drop ranges from 780mm to 3300mm, allowing the chandelier to be positioned at the correct height relative to the floor or table below. The five tiers step down in diameter, creating a wedding-cake profile that concentrates visual weight at the top while maintaining balance across the 22.8kg mass.

The French gold finish on the frame adds warmth against the cool 4000K light output, creating contrast rather than colour-temperature clash. Each tier is stabilised by internal supports that maintain alignment and prevent the crystal strands from tangling or shifting during installation or air movement. The integrated LED is dimmable when paired with a compatible trailing-edge or TRIAC dimmer, allowing output to be reduced for evening ambience or increased to full brightness for daytime display.

The crystal strands are cut glass rather than acrylic, giving sharper refraction and heavier drape than lighter substitutes. The 120° beam angle from the internal LED array spreads light evenly across all five tiers without leaving dark patches at the edges. Installation requires a ceiling rose rated for the 22.8kg load and a qualified electrician familiar with high-ceiling pendant fitting.

Is the integrated LED dimmable?

Yes, but only when paired with a compatible trailing-edge or TRIAC dimmer rated for LED loads. Standard resistive dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs may cause flickering or fail to dim the LED properly. Check dimmer compatibility before installation.

How is the chandelier cleaned?

Switch off power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Use a dry microfibre cloth to wipe each crystal strand individually, working tier by tier from top to bottom. For heavier dust or grease, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystal or spraying cleaner directly onto the fitting.

Can the drop length be adjusted after installation?

The drop is set during installation by adjusting the suspension cables inside the ceiling canopy. Once installed and the canopy fitted, changing the drop requires removing the canopy and re-adjusting the cables, which is not a quick task. Set the correct drop during initial fitting.
