Description

The Bano is a 102cm linear crystal suspension light with three illuminated tiers of cascading crystal droplets suspended from a French gold rectangular frame. An integrated 46W LED running the length of the frame produces 3700 lumens at 4000K, directed downward through the crystal curtain and creating refracted light patterns across the droplets.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and open-plan living spaces, the Bano provides both task lighting and decorative presence over surfaces 180-240cm long. The 102cm length suits island worktops in the 200-250cm range, with the 330mm width giving sufficient projection over the surface without overwhelming it. The suspension drop adjusts from 500mm to 1850mm on installation, allowing the fitting to be positioned 700-900mm above the worktop or table depending on ceiling height. The four steel suspension cables anchor to a gold ceiling canopy that conceals the driver and junction box.

The French gold finish is a mid-tone polished brass with a warm yellow hue, sitting between bright polished brass and deeper antique brass. Each of the three tiers carries crystal droplets of varying lengths, creating a stepped profile that becomes more pronounced when viewed from the side. The integrated LED eliminates the need for separate bulbs and offers dimmer compatibility when paired with a trailing-edge or TRIAC dimmer rated for LED loads. At full output the 3700lm provides sufficient task light for food preparation and dining; dimmed to 20-30% it serves as ambient background lighting in the evening.

Yes. The integrated LED is compatible with trailing-edge or TRIAC dimmers rated for LED loads. Standard rotary dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs may cause flicker or fail to dim smoothly. A suitable dimmer is required and sold separately.

What length kitchen island does this suit?

The 102cm fixture works best over islands or dining tables in the 180-240cm range. For shorter islands a single fitting may overhang; for islands over 250cm two Bano fittings spaced 60-80cm apart provide more even coverage.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum 500mm drop plus the 330mm width of the fixture itself requires approximately 2.5m ceiling height to hang 700mm above a worktop. The maximum 1850mm drop accommodates ceiling heights up to 3.5m when the fitting is suspended 800-900mm above the surface.

Can the colour temperature be changed?

No. The integrated LED is fixed at 4000K cool white. This cannot be adjusted or replaced with a different temperature LED.
