Description
This B22 GLS LED bulb takes the classic A60 household shape, the rounded form most people picture when they think of a light bulb. It fits a B22 bayonet cap, known as BC, so it twists and locks into the standard push-and-turn holder used across much of the UK. Drawing 12W, it gives out 1521 lumens at a crisp 6500K daylight tone, replacing a 100W old bulb on a fraction of the power. American buyers will know this familiar size as an A19, here in clear glass with visible LED filaments inside.
The daylight colour temperature suits work-focused and high-clarity spaces, so this bulb sits well in a kitchen, home office, utility room, garage or hobby area where you want bright, neutral light to see detail clearly. With a wide 320° beam angle it spreads light almost all the way around, lighting a room evenly rather than throwing a narrow spot, which makes it a sound choice in open shades, pendants and ceiling fittings. The filament construction gives a vintage exposed-element look through the clear glass, so it works equally in fittings where the bulb is on show. It is intended for dry indoor use only and should be kept clear of bathrooms, porches and any outdoor location.
The bulb measures Ø60 by 108 mm and weighs just 36 g, matching the proportions of a traditional incandescent so it slots into existing fittings without looking oversized. It runs on 220 to 240V AC mains, with an efficiency of 127 lm/W and a rated lifespan of 15,000 hours. Colour rendering is Ra 80 and the bulb is fully dimmable, so it pairs with a compatible LED dimmer to set the level you want. The finish is transparent clear glass showing the LED filaments within.

Frequently Asked
Which fitting does this bulb need?
It has a B22 bayonet cap, also called BC, which is the push-and-twist holder common across the UK. You line up the two pins, push gently and turn a quarter to lock it in place. It is not a screw fitting, so check your holder takes a bayonet base before ordering.
What old bulb wattage does it replace?
The LED itself draws just 12W but gives the light output of a 100W traditional bulb, producing 1521 lumens. You get the same bright result on a small fraction of the energy. Over its 15,000 hour rated life that adds up to a clear running-cost saving.
Is this bulb dimmable?
Yes, it is fully dimmable. For smooth, flicker-free control it should be paired with a dimmer switch rated for LED loads, as older dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs may not perform well. Once matched, you can take the level from full daylight brightness down to a softer glow.
What does the daylight colour temperature look like?
At 6500K it gives a crisp, cool daylight white rather than a warm yellow tone. This suits kitchens, offices, garages and task areas where you want bright, neutral light to see detail. The clear glass also shows the LED filaments inside for a vintage look.
