Description
This B22 GLS LED bulb takes the familiar A60 household shape and fits the standard bayonet cap, known as BC in the UK and the close equivalent of the screw-base bulbs sold as A19 across the US. It draws just 7W yet gives 806 lumens, replacing a 60W old bulb at a fraction of the running cost. Visible LED filaments sit behind clear transparent glass for a vintage look, while the warm 2700K tone and wide 320 degree beam spread light evenly in every direction.
Because the light radiates almost fully around the bulb, it suits open fittings where the lamp is on show: pendants over a kitchen table, exposed bulb wall and ceiling fittings, table and floor lamps in a living room or bedroom. The warm white tone keeps hallways, landings and dining areas relaxed rather than clinical, and the filament styling reads well in glass shades and cage fittings. Being a dimmable bulb, it can be dialled down for evening ambience and back up for everyday tasks. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use, so keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any damp or exposed location.
The bulb runs on 220 to 240V AC mains and measures Ø60 by 105 mm, weighing 32 g, so it slots into standard bayonet fittings without fuss. Efficiency is 115 lm/W and colour rendering is Ra 80, giving honest, natural-looking colour around the home. Rated for 15,000 hours, it cuts replacement and energy use against the 60W lamp it stands in for. The clear transparent glass and exposed filament finish make it a tidy choice for fittings where the bulb stays in view. This bulb sits in our wider range of B22 and E27 LED options, including non-filament and higher-output versions.

Frequently Asked
Which fitting does this bulb need?
It has a B22 bayonet cap, known as BC, which is the standard push-and-twist UK fitting. Line up the two pins, push gently and turn to lock. It will not fit screw-cap E27 or E14 fittings.
What old bulb does it replace?
The bulb draws 7W but gives 806 lumens, which matches the output of a 60W incandescent bulb. The LED itself only uses 7W, so you get the same brightness for far less energy. Rated lifespan is 15,000 hours.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, this bulb is dimmable, so you can lower it for evening ambience and raise it for everyday tasks. For smooth, flicker-free control, pair it with a dimmer rated for LED loads.
What colour of light does it give?
It produces a warm white tone at 2700K, which is soft and relaxing rather than bright and clinical. With a colour rendering of Ra 80 and the visible filament behind clear glass, it works well in open fittings where the bulb is on show.
