B22 (BC) LED GLS Bulb 8.8W 806lm - Warm White 3000K, 5 Pack

This is a five pack of LED GLS bulbs with the B22 bayonet cap, the push and twist fitting most UK ceiling roses and table lamps use. Each bulb draws 8.8W and gives 806 lumens, which the Energizer pack lists as a 60W replacement, so the output matches the old pearl incandescent bulb most people picture when they think of a standard household bulb. The body is the familiar rounded GLS shape in a soft white opal finish, so light spreads evenly around the shade rather than pointing in one direction.

Warm white at 3000K is the tone to pick for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and landings. It is a shade cleaner than the 2700K of a traditional filament bulb without tipping into the blue white of a kitchen downlight, so it suits pendants, fabric shades and standard lamps where you want a room to feel settled in the evening. Before ordering, check the cap on the bulb you are replacing: a B22 has two small pins on the side and locks in with a quarter turn, while an E27 screws in.

These bulbs are not dimmable, so keep them on a standard on/off switch and choose a dimmable lamp if the circuit already has a rotary or trailing edge dimmer on it. The energy rating is F, and the pack prints a 15 year lifespan. One order brings one box of five bulbs, with a minimum order of one box, which is enough to do a landing and a pair of bedside lamps and still keep a spare in the drawer. Will this fit my light fitting?

It fits a B22 bayonet holder, the cap with two pins on the side that pushes in and twists a quarter turn to lock. If the old bulb screwed in, you need an E27 instead.

Is 806 lumens bright enough to replace a 60W bulb?

Yes. The pack lists 8.8W as a 60W replacement, and 806 lumens is the output a classic 60W household bulb gave, so a room lit that way before will look the same now.

Can I use these on a dimmer switch?

No. The specification states that these bulbs are not dimmable, so they belong on a standard on/off switch. If your circuit has a dimmer fitted, choose a lamp marked dimmable.

What does warm white 3000K actually look like?

It is a soft, slightly creamy white. Warmer and gentler than the crisp 4000K light used in kitchens and garages, and a touch cleaner than the 2700K glow of old filament bulbs.

Is an IP rating given for these bulbs?

The manufacturer does not print an IP rating on the pack or state one in the specification, so treat them as ordinary indoor bulbs for dry, enclosed or open fittings.
