Description

The AV:Link 4x2 HDMI 2.0 matrix switch routes any of four HDMI source devices to either of two display outputs, supporting resolutions up to 3840 × 2160 @ 60Hz with HDCP 2.2 copy protection. The unit handles HDMI v2.0b signal bandwidth at 600MHz and 18Gbps combined data rate, passing 8-bit, 10-bit and 12-bit deep colour video alongside DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby-AC3 and DSD audio formats.

Designed for AV installations in hospitality, retail showrooms, conference rooms and home cinema setups where multiple sources need to be distributed across two displays without re-cabling. The matrix can display different sources on each output simultaneously, or send the same source to both outputs. Control switching via the included IR remote or front-panel buttons. Maximum cable runs are 30m per input/output at 4K@30Hz and Full HD, or 10m per input/output at 4K@60Hz using quality HDMI cables.

Gold-plated HDMI connectors reduce signal degradation on long cable runs. Smart EDID management reads display capabilities and optimises the output signal for each connected screen. Two SPDIF optical outputs and two 3.5mm stereo outputs allow simultaneous audio breakout to an external sound system, powered speakers or headphones without interrupting the HDMI audio path. The metal enclosure measures 99 × 70 × 27mm and draws 600mA maximum from the supplied 5V DC adaptor.

Can I display different sources on each output at the same time?

Yes. The matrix allows independent source selection for each of the two outputs, so you can display HDMI input 1 on output 1 and HDMI input 3 on output 2 simultaneously, or send the same source to both outputs.

What cable length can I use at 4K@60Hz?

The matrix supports up to 10m HDMI cable per input and per output when running 4K@60Hz signals. Longer runs up to 30m are supported at 4K@30Hz or Full HD resolutions. Use high-quality certified HDMI cables for best results at maximum distances.

Does it pass audio through HDMI or only via the breakout outputs?

Audio passes through the HDMI outputs to the connected displays as normal. The SPDIF optical and 3.5mm stereo outputs provide simultaneous audio breakout, allowing you to send audio to external speakers or a sound system without affecting the HDMI audio path.

What's in the box?

The unit ships with an IR remote control (batteries not included, requires 2x AAA), a UK mains power adaptor, and the product manual. HDMI cables are not included.
