Description

The Aurelio is a 42-light tiered chandelier built from densely packed vertical brass tubes finished in gold, arranged across three descending circular tiers. Each tube is cut to a different length, giving the underside of every tier a stepped fringe rather than a flat edge. The fitting measures 88cm in diameter and 73cm tall, and houses 42 x G9 lamp holders concealed within the upper tiers, which cast warm light down through the gaps between the tubes.

This is a chandelier scaled for tall and double-height spaces: stairwell voids, entrance halls with galleried landings, hotel-style lounges, and dining rooms with ceilings of 3m or higher. The 150cm cable allows the fitting to drop well below ceiling level, which is essential for the tiered profile to read correctly from below. The eight individual suspension wires let the chandelier be levelled accurately on installation, and at 80kg the fixing point must be a structural joist or properly rated ceiling brace.

The brass tube construction gives the chandelier its sculptural weight without resorting to crystal or glass. When the 42 G9 lamps are lit, light reflects between the polished inner faces of the tubes and warms the gold finish from within, so the fitting glows as a single mass rather than reading as 42 separate point sources. The gold finish pairs with marble, smoked glass, dark timber and deep wall colours, and works equally well in contemporary and transitional schemes.

What ceiling height does the Aurelio need?

It is designed for ceilings of 3m or higher, or for stairwell and double-height voids where the full 73cm depth and tiered profile can be appreciated from below. Lower ceilings will compress the visual effect and may put the lower tier within head height in walkways.

What bulbs does it take and are they included?

The chandelier takes 42 x G9 capsule bulbs, which are not normally included. G9 LED capsules in a warm 2700K-3000K colour temperature give the closest match to the warm glow shown in the lit image and will run far cooler than halogen G9 lamps in this density.

Can it be installed on a standard ceiling rose?

No. At an approximate 80kg the Aurelio must be fixed to a structural joist or a properly rated ceiling brace bar capable of supporting the full weight. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the fixing point assessed before ordering.

Is the drop adjustable?

Yes. The 150cm cable length can be shortened on installation, and because each tier is suspended on multiple individual wires the chandelier can be levelled precisely once hung.
