Description

The Aurelio is a 1m diameter drum chandelier built from a ring of vertical brass blades in a polished gold finish, suspended on twin cables from a circular ceiling canopy. Twenty-four G9 lamps sit inside the drum, casting light outward through the gaps between blades and downward through the open base, so the fitting reads as a band of warm reflected gold when lit.

At 100cm across and 30cm deep, the Aurelio is sized for larger rooms: dining tables of 1.8m or longer, double-height entrance halls, stairwells, and open-plan living and kitchen spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or more. The 150cm cable drop is adjustable on installation, allowing the drum to be set 700-800mm above a dining surface or higher in foyers and stairwells where headroom is the priority.

The blade construction gives the chandelier its character. Each vertical fin is shaped with a tapered profile that catches light along its edge, so the surface alternates between bright highlights and shadowed recesses as the eye moves around the drum. The polished gold tone is warm rather than yellow, pairing with marble, walnut, deep velvets and neutral plaster walls. At 50kg installed weight, the fitting requires a fixing point rated for the load and is supplied with twin suspension cables for balance.

What bulbs does the Aurelio take?

The chandelier uses 24 x G9 capsule lamps, sold separately. G9 LED capsules between 2-3W in 2700K-3000K give a warm output that complements the gold finish; halogen G9 capsules up to 33W are also compatible if a brighter, traditional output is preferred.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 150cm cable drop is adjustable at installation. Above a dining table the drum typically sits 700-800mm above the table surface, which suits ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher. In stairwells and double-height entrance halls the cables can be left longer to position the fitting at the desired level.

How is it fixed to the ceiling?

The Aurelio is suspended on twin steel cables from a circular ceiling canopy, with the mains cable running separately. At an approximate installed weight of 50kg, the ceiling fixing point must be rated for the load. We recommend installation by a qualified electrician with appropriate structural fixings into a joist or suitable support.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself is compatible with dimming when paired with dimmable G9 lamps and a compatible dimmer. LED G9 capsules vary in dimmer compatibility between brands, so check the lamp specification before pairing with a specific dimmer module.
