Description
The Knightsbridge asymmetric LED wall light is a 309mm black polycarbonate fitting with an integrated photocell sensor, selectable wattage from 14W to 24W, and three colour temperature options (3000K, 4000K, 6000K). The asymmetric beam distribution directs light downward and outward in a 150-degree pattern, providing wide horizontal coverage along building perimeters, pathways and car parks without wasting upward light.
Designed for commercial exteriors, industrial facades and residential perimeter lighting, the fitting mounts to external walls via side or rear cable entry points. The integrated photocell sensor switches the light on automatically at dusk and off at dawn, or can be disconnected if manual control is preferred. The IP65 and IK10 ratings certify protection against water jets from any direction and impact resistance to 20 joules, making the fitting suitable for exposed coastal environments, high-traffic zones and locations where vandalism or accidental impact is a concern.
The black polycarbonate body is injection-moulded as a single shell, eliminating the weak points that occur in multi-piece metal housings where screws corrode or seals fail. The clear polycarbonate lower diffuser is impact-resistant and UV-stabilised to prevent yellowing over time. Wattage and colour temperature are set via internal DIP switches during installation, allowing one SKU to serve multiple lighting requirements without needing separate stock for each wattage/temperature combination.
Lumen output ranges from 1,755lm at 14W/3000K to 3,095lm at 24W/4000K, with the asymmetric distribution concentrating most of this output in the lower hemisphere where it is needed for ground-level visibility. The 150-degree beam angle provides approximately 8-12m of usable coverage along a wall or pathway depending on mounting height and chosen wattage.

Frequently Asked
How is the wattage and colour temperature selected?
Both are set via DIP switches inside the fitting during installation. The fitting can be configured to any combination of the four wattage settings (14W, 17W, 21W, 24W) and three colour temperatures (3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white, 6000K cool white). Once set, the configuration remains until manually changed.
Can the photocell sensor be disabled?
Yes. The photocell sensor can be disconnected during installation if automatic dusk-to-dawn operation is not required. When disconnected, the light operates from a standard switched mains supply.
What does the asymmetric beam pattern mean?
Asymmetric distribution directs most of the light downward and outward along the wall rather than straight down or upward. This provides wider horizontal coverage along pathways and building perimeters compared to a symmetrical downlight, reducing the number of fittings needed for continuous coverage.
What is the IK10 rating?
IK10 is the highest impact resistance rating under the IK code, certifying protection against impacts of up to 20 joules. This makes the fitting resistant to vandalism, accidental tool strikes during maintenance, and impact from thrown or windblown objects.
